Field Crickets

cricket mounds 2.JPGThe picture to the left is of small mounds usually seen in lawns in the spring and fall in Oklahoma. These mounds are from field crickets burrowing into the soil. They burrow out in the spring emerging to reproduce and feed and burrow underground in the fall to protect themselves from harsh temperatures.

While this problem is unsightly, crickets rarely have any adverse affect on a lawn. Usually with watering and mowing once or twice, the evidence of their presence is quickly erased.

Crickets can be a noisy and anoying problem and if you would like them treated, we have products that will reduce their populations. Please call us today to speak with a Bug Barricade specialist.
