Lawn disease is not an uncommon occurrance. However, on warm season grasses, it is mostly seen when there is too much thatch buildup or watering and mowing practices are poor. Disease can also be spread by infected lawn mower blades so it is important that if a disease is present, that you frequently clean your mower in order to prevent spreading the disease any further. If you use a mowing service, it is also important to notify them that you are in the process of treating this disease so that they too will not spread the disease through their customers.
