AgriLawn offers Exceptional Service, Courtesy & Quality. We are...
As Lawn Care professionals, it is our goal to improve the overall aesthetic beauty of the lawn and landscape as well as provide quality pest control services. Calibrating spray equipment, fertilizer spreaders and mixing weed control products is complicated and messy. This is our specialty and has been for years.
Have you ever wondered why you occasionally see blue or blue/green bermudagrass lawns in the late winter or spring? More than likely the lawn had just recently received a weed control application. The blue/green color comes from a dye that is used by some companies in their liquid applications. The turf dye serves as a marker allowing the applicator to see what has and has not been sprayed and gives the property owner confidence that indeed, something was sprayed. But when you take a closer look you can see that the turf dye does not guarantee an evenly distributed, neat and thorough application. Sometimes it can result in an all-out mess! AgriLawn does not use turf dye for a few reasons:
· It’s incredibly messy! Not only can turf dye leave spots and streaks on your house, pavement, fencing and landscaping, it can be tracked inside too. Cleaning the pets may not be as tough as cleaning up after them. · Dye is an added cost and we would prefer to spend that money on products that benefit the turf. · With proper training, experience and care, a good technician can achieve a thorough and consistent application without the need for a marker dye. AgriLawn offers the best technicians in the business. · AgriLawn uses beneficial surfactants with our weed control applications.

The addition of a good surfactant will enhance the effectiveness of a weed control mix. Surfactants (sticky/soapy substance) aid weed control products in accomplishing their jobs by helping these products attach to the target surface of plants. Another benefit is that the surfactant leaves a recently treated area looking wet and shiny. This characteristic helps an applicator distinguish wet and shiny turf from dry turf; and much like using a turf dye, the applicator knows what has and has not been treated. Once the treated area dries the turf is left with its natural look and no blue/green mess. Regardless of what is being applied; proper technique, thoroughness and care, will ultimately determine the success of an application. Our technicians are experienced, knowledgeable and considerate. We take pride in our work and expect the best results. If an application fails to provide satisfactory results, give us a call within 30 days, and we’ll be out to re-do the application at no charge. And best of all we won’t be giving your lawn the blues.
