Pre-Emergent – Why Split the Application Method?

Weed control is both a science and an art.  Especially when it comes to applying spring pre-emergent to control crabgrass and other summer weeds. The science tells us how much is necessary to provide season long weed control.  That is the easy part.  The art dictates how to apply that amount in a manner that avoids damaging your lawn and poses little risk to the environment.  There’s nothing more frustrating than watching your neighbor’s lawn green up in the spring while your lawn struggles to do so due to an over application of a pre-emergent.

We have been the benefactor of numerous customers switching to us from other lawn care companies that had trouble with the “art” part.  Beware of those companies who apply pre-emergent in excess which often leads to turf damage.  We’ve seen it a thousand times.  With us utilizing a split application method of pre-emergent in the spring you can rest assured we are aware of our duty to be environmentally sound in the way we conduct our business.

Season long weed control and no damage to your lawn?  That’s a win-win situation you can expect from our experience which spans more than a quarter of a century!
